Elderly man in plaid shirt smiles at phone with two young children beside him on sofa, set in a cozy living room.

As my family's unofficial archivist, I collect everyone's photos and share them. Especially for older family members, seeing their loved ones in living color is invaluable. People need people, and when we can't be together in person, a photo or video is the next best thing.

If there's one benefit to everyone having a camera in their phone, it's these priceless memories we can share. Life moves fast, and when we can't be there in person, it sure is nice to have a photo or video.

Many seniors and baby boomers have difficulty with mobility. They can no longer make every baseball game, attend every celebration dinner, or fly to visit their children every Christmas. This isolation is one of the most painful parts of aging.

On the bright side, there's nothing like enjoying a cool evening with some sweet tea in a comfortable chair after a hot summer day in Atlanta. It's the perfect time to peruse the day's pictures of children and grandchildren. To participate in this ritual, parents and grandparents from Buckhead to Sandy Springs, Brookhaven, and Peachtree all need help with photo management — specifically, how to use photo apps on smartphones, including fixing problems sending and receiving videos.

If your loved one needs help setting up or using photos and videos on their phone or computer, I can help. During these challenging times, we need each other more than ever. Let's keep everyone in the loop!
