Frank Ligons, Principal at VIP Tech Assist

About Frank Ligons

My relationship with technology, making it entertaining, educational, and productive, goes back to childhood.

I hold a Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Pittsburgh.

Experience at Deloitte Consulting and Digital River informs my background in business consulting and internet commerce.

My biomedical informatics research toward overcoming the usability gap between critical technology and those who depend on it is published in the Journal of American Medical Directors Association, the International Journal of Medical Informatics, the American Medical Informatics Association, and the BMJ Open Quality journal.

Working with me, you have a technical advisor trained in HIPAA privacy and security standards, with a diverse background in helping clients navigate their technological, medical, financial, consumer, and social media interactions more securely, productively, enjoyably, and confidently.

How I Work

Every troubleshooting, advisory, and training session is with me, personally. I communicate clearly, work carefully, and follow through completely.

"Frank is patient, sincere, and gives excellent advice on how to troubleshoot issues and protect my information."

Who I serve

Busy Professionals

Time is their most limited resource. I ensure their devices are handled proactively and reliably and provide training that increases efficiency.

Households

Family logistics are complex. Device management that keeps mobile life running smoothly is one less thing to worry about. As-needed training builds desired skills.

Family Far from Home

Keeping family in the fold is a challenge. Adult children and relatives arranging technical support and education for loved ones from a distance can rely on a vetted, local partner.

“I'm over 80 now, and it's so hard to keep up with all these gadgets. Frank keeps all of my tech running smoothly, no matter what stops working. I know it'll be working again after he comes by.”
